Our History
Haji Puang La Tunrung was a very experienced and successful businessman. He was an inspiring figure known for his tenacities in business world. He was the director of PT. Bank Antar Indonesia at the age 28 years old. He was the director of PT. Bank Antar Indonesia at the age 28 years old.
Historically, his name was recorded in the official local parliament Enrekang gazette No.46/DPRD/1996 dated October 31, 1996. In April 2007, The Economist wrote Haji La Tunrung, the World Awaits Your Decision.
Haji La Tunrung was also the third president of University of Muslim Indonesia (UMI) in 1965-1969. In 2007, he was awarded the UMI Gold Pin during UMI anniversary ceremony for his role as a founder of character education and propaganda. Excellence in education and propaganda was also applied to his children.
PT. On the 17th of May 1974, PT. Haji La Tunrung AMC was established. Today, this money exchange company has spread all over Indonesia; with 25 branches in 15 provinces and sells 41 foreign currencies.
